Kaval project
Social Justice Department, Kerala collaborated with NIMHANS to initiate an innovative program for the children in conflict with law in the state. The pilot phase of the program was from September 2016 . During the pilot phase a community based model was developed and implemented in the three districts to reach out to the children in conflict with law in bail and probation through the NGOs. The Kaval project activities in Kollam district started by February 2019.
Aim :
To provide psychosocial care for children in conflict with law towards by ensuring holistic care and rehabilitating and reintegrating them into the society.
The Project Area
PSSS Kaval team working with rural sides of Kollam district. Mainly dealing with rural villages of 6 blocks in Kollam district namely; Anchal, Chadayamangalam, Kottarakkara, Mukhathala, Pathanapuram, and Vettikkavala.

House visit and psycho social assessment
Orientation for parents of children in conflict with law through parent management program
Individual counseling for children
Group work for children in conflict with law
Life skill education for children in conflict with law
