Sajeevam – Anti-Drug Campaign in Punalur

Punalur Social Service Society, with the collaboration of Caritas India and Kerala Social Service Forum, initiated a programme named SAJEEVAM-an Anti Drug Campaign . The inauguration of the programme was on 14th February 2023 @ 11:30am. The programme started with a prayer song and Mr. Sunny V.O Co-ordinator of Sajeevam project, welcomed the participants. An introductory  speech was delivered by Rev.Fr Johnson Joseph, Director of PSSS. Rt.Rev.Dr.Selvister Ponnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur inaugurated the Sajeevam Programme. Felicitation speeches were delivered by Mrs. Leena and Mr. Justin, Board Members of PSSS. After the inaugural session Smt.Shydha Beegam, Rescue officer of Child line programme conducted an awareness class on drug abuse. Mr. Aneesh M.T, animator of PSSS extended vote of thanks to the participants. The programme was winding up by 2:00pm

  • Inauguration by Sujatha. B Chairperson of Punalur Municipality

Punalur Social Service Society, with the collaboration of Kerala State Backward Community Development Corporation, distributed Rupees 50 Lakhs to 131 members on 17th February 2023 @ PSSS hall, Punalur.

The inaugural function started @ 10:30am with a prayer song and Mr. Sunny V.O programme co-ordinator of PSSS welcomed the distinguished guests and participants. Rev. Fr Johnson Joseph, Director of PSSS, chaired the meeting. Mrs. B. Sujatha, Chairperson of Punalur Municipality inaugurated the programme and handed over the cheque to the Director of PSSS. Rt.Rev.Dr.Selvister Ponnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur delivered the benedictory address and distributed the cheques to the beneficiary groups. Felicitation speeches were delivered by Mr. Aji Antony, Councillor of Punalur Municipality, Rev. Fr. Vineeth Benedict, Asst. Director of PSSS, Ms. Shydha Beegam Animator of PSSS extended a vote of thanks to the participants. The programme came to an end by 1:00 pm.  

Micro Finance to Self-Help Groups of Punalur Social Service Society

Punalur Social Service Society, with the collaboration of Kerala State Backward Community Development Co-operation (KSBCDC) provided Rs.50 Lakh to 114 SHG members. The objective of the scheme is to cater for the microfinance needs of small entrepreneurs belonging to the minority community. A loan up to Rs.6000/- per beneficiary is given under the scheme.

The inaugural function of the loan distribution was on 30/12/2022 at PSSS hall. The programme started @ 11:00 am with a prayer song. Mr Sunny V.O, Programme Co-ordinator of PSSS welcomed the guests and participants. Rev. Fr. Johnson Joseph, Director of PSSS, chaired the programme. Adv Mr K. Prasad Chairman of KSBCDC inaugurated the function. Felicitation speeches were delivered by Mrs Latha K.J, Manager KSBCDC Pathanapuram Taluk, Mr C.P Sunilchandran Sub. District industries officer Pathanapuram Taluk, Rev. Fr. Vineeth Benedict, Asst. Director of PSSS and Mrs Angel Mary representative of SHG. Mr Binu George Co-ordinator of PSSS, extended a vote of thanks to the participants and the programme came to an end by 1:30 pm.
